Daily Bible Reading Plan

North Dallas Bible Challenge
We are excited about the Bible Challenge games coming up on this weekend February 16 at the McKinney SDA Church at 3:00 p.m. All we are asking is that you bring your knowledge of the bible and a thirst for the word. No one should feel intimidated because these are our initial games and we all will be getting our feet wet with the book of Acts as well as general knowledge questions about the bible. So bring your cradle roll game, your Sabbath school knowledge and your knowledge of Acts so we can have a great time together fellowshipping and studying God's word.

Remember this is only the beginning and just your participation may motivate others to want to get started with a daily study of God's word.
As a reminder, we will have another game day in March culminating with our Championship games in April. We want everyone to be represented. You don't want to miss out on our first games.
Family/Church Business Meeting

You are invited to attend our Quarterly Business Meeting this Sabbath. All are encouraged to attend this important meeting as we reflect on the way forward after the departure of Pastor Victor Jaeger and how our congregation will continue to seek to be the hands and feet of Jesus.
We will be discussing and McKinney SDA members will be voting on the following:
• Proposed leadership structure and the way forward.
• Our mission, ministry, and vision for 2013.

Our Values
God loves the people who live in our community, so we think it is important to show His love for them in practical ways. We will strive to communicate the hope of Jesus in a culturally relevant way so the lost in our community may be won to Christ. We will also support missionaries around the world with financial resources, leadership, and prayer. (John 3:16, Matthew 28:19-20)
We believe that the Bible is God’s handbook for our lives and it is the foundation for our beliefs and behaviors. It has the power to change lives, so we want to teach it in a way that makes it applicable and understandable for everyone. (2 Timothy 3:16, James 1:23-25)
We seek to create an environment that strengthens families as well as provide ministries that bring healing to broken families. We emphasize the priority of spending time with our families, investing in our marriages, and parenting our children with great love and care. (1 Timothy 3:4-5)
We believe God made us to worship Him. We will keep looking for fresh ways to lift up Jesus and express our love and appreciation for Him. When we gather, we seek to lead people into a worship encounter with God that produces hope. (Romans 12:1, Psalm 150:6)
Church Planting
The most effective way to fulfill the Great Commission is to plant churches. McKinney SDA’s ability to make disciples is multiplied through starting local churches that have a vision to reach the lost in their community. (Matthew 16:18, 28:19-20)
We believe that all ministry happens best in the context of loving relationships. We think it is important to spend time developing genuine relationships with the people in our church and community. Because of this we will always facilitate holistic small groups for building relationships, stimulating spiritual growth, and developing leadership. (Proverbs 27:17, Psalm 133:1)
Spiritual Growth
We believe every member should be a member of at least three core groups: Sabbath school class, Ministry group and Bible study groups. We rely on personal and corporate prayer in the conception, planning, and execution of all ministries and activities. We believe prayer and Bible reading should be a vital part of everyone’s daily life. (Acts 2:42-47), (James 5:16, Zechariah 4:6)
Welcome to our church family, we’re glad that you could come. We’re honored to share this day with you as we worship God’s risen Son. Our hope is that you don’t leave the same way that you came to this site, only better!

Mission Statement

Matthew 28:19-20: “Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”

McKinney SDA Church exists to fulfill the great commission by preaching the three Angels’ messages
Revelation 14:6-7 ….. fear God, and give glory to him; for the hour of his judgment is come: and worship him that made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and the fountains of waters.’

Revelation 14:8 …..’And there followed another angel, saying, Babylon is fallen, is fallen, that great city, because she made all nations drink of the wine of the wrath of her fornication.’

Revelation 14:9-12 ….. If any man worship the beast and his image, and receive his mark in his forehead, or in his hand, the same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God,
